Privacy Policy

This policy explains what TEQHNE (David Muir Williamson, doing business as TEQHNE) collects when you use the exchange at teqhne.com, why, and your choices. It is part of our Terms of Use. We don't sell your personal information.

1. What we collect

• Account: your email address, the public name and country you choose, an optional short bio, and when you joined.
• Activity: your listings, photos, offers, messages, ratings, reports and sales.
• How you found us: if you signed up through one of our ads or shared links, which one (for example "meta-london"). No ad-network tracking code runs on TEQHNE.
• Payments: the amount, status and Stripe reference for each sale. Card numbers, bank details and ID documents go straight to Stripe; we never see or keep them.
• Licenses: for Sequoia plugins, the license records in Sequoia's license system (Moonbase) needed to check and move a license.
• Safety data: instead of your IP address, a scrambled code made from it, used to slow down spammers. Hidden data (like GPS location) is removed from every photo you upload.
• Consent records: when you agreed to the Terms, and whether you chose to receive deals and giveaway emails.
• Cookies: one cookie that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers the color theme you picked. No advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use it

• To run your account and your sales: sign-in links, offers, payments, payouts, license transfers and support.
• To keep the exchange safe: checking listings and messages, stopping scams, spam and piracy, and enforcing the Terms.
• To send deals, freebies and giveaway news, only if you opted in. Unsubscribe any time with the link in every email.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

3. Who we share it with

• Other members: your public name, country, listings, ratings and member-since date. Your email is never shown publicly. After a buyer pays for another maker's plugin, the seller sees the buyer's email so they can transfer the license to it.
• Service providers that run parts of the exchange for us: Cloudflare (hosting, bot check), Stripe (payments and payouts), Resend (sending emails), Moonbase (Sequoia licenses) and MailerLite (TEQHNE's deals and giveaway emails, only if you opted in).
• The law: when required by law, or to protect members, TEQHNE or others from fraud or harm.
• A new owner, if TEQHNE is ever sold or moved to another company.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. Sale and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require (usually 7 years). Messages, listings and safety records may be kept for a reasonable time after an account closes to prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

5. Your choices and rights

• Edit your public profile any time from your account.
• Unsubscribe from deals and giveaway emails with the link in any of them.
• Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or for your account to be deleted, by emailing hello@teqhne.com. Some records must be kept by law, as above.
• Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights. Email us and we'll respond as the law requires.

6. Security and age

We use secure connections, passwordless sign-in links and limited access to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. TEQHNE is for adults (18+) and is not meant for children; we don't knowingly collect children's information.
